Trophy Scars - Discography

Download links were removed at the request of the band

Trophy Scars is a band I've been both very hot and very cold with. I've been following them since 2003 and I consider their early stuff to be top notch post-hardcore, and Hospital Music to be one of the best post-hardcore releases of all time (unfortunately it's only an EP). Since that album though I've been decidedly overwhelmed, particularly with the mediocre Alphabet. Alphabets. Here is their discography for better or worse.

Sand in the Sea [2006] -

Note: This album is a compilation of Darts to the Sea plus B-sides and demos from their EPs.

Alphabet. Alphabets. [2006] - - Review

Goodnight Alchemy [2005] - - Review

Hospital Music (for the Aesthetics of Language) [2004] - - Review

Darts to the Sea [2002] -
(No artwork - see Sand in the Sea)

Hey first post here, and I completely agree. They used to be something special back in 04-05, but Alphabets was a major disappointment. Any idea where they are now/ what they are working on?

They're working on a new full length currently. I think over the last week they went down to Georgia to re-record some of the demos.

Ya their new LP is rumored to be called Bad Luck. However, maybe that was just based on the fact that their first new song in a while was called "Bad Luck."

being a few minutes drive away from morristown, trophy scars is in my blood and i love them dearly. i wasnt really into Alphabets and im not expecting Bad Luck to be very impressive, but please listen to this band! i just wish alphabets wasnt the album they really got recognized for...some of jerry jones' lyrics are sort of elementary now and their style of post-hardcore underwent a pretty significant change

Why do people not like Alphabets? I thought and still think that CD was amazing. Sure it's not Goodnight Alchemy, but it's still damn good. And I'm stoked for Bad Luck. They're evolving, and it's good. Don't begin to dislike them just because they aren't making another Goodnight Alchemy EP.

i completely agree with anon above. Alphabet was a great album. I actually was introduced to trophy scars with that album. Don't hate evolution of bands, it shows the musicians taste in music. unless they sell out...

saw em live last night in boonton NJ. Probably around 50 people there. Trophy Scars played songs from all ep/albums so it was an amazing mixture. Trophy Scars are a must see in a tiny intimate venue!

I was wondering if you ever considered changing the structure of
your website? Its very well written; I love what
youve got to say. But maybe you could a little
more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?
